Are You IN?

Making work better for people with invisible disabilities.

The 2021 Not Every Disability is Visible campaign activities, including Are You In? have been developed by Crohn’s & Colitis UK in partnership with, and funded by, Janssen-Cilag Limited.

Are You IN? is designed to help employers better support people living with invisible conditions and disabilities like Crohn’s and Colitis at work. By being 'IN', you can make a life-changing difference to your members of staff and your team.

Looking after an employee’s wellbeing can benefit employees, their company and wider society. Companies that recognise the needs of people with invisible conditions can:

  • improve the productivity of the workforce,
  • lower staff turnover, and
  • drive better employee well-being and satisfaction.

This is where we can help you develop better approaches to managing long-term conditions in the workplace.

Employers can sign-up to pledge their support to implement three key actions to bring positive change.

Some things may already be in place and others may take some time to implement. We are here to support you.

Sign up now, or email us at partnerships@crohnsandcolitis.org.uk for more information.

My employer’s approach is that my health is the most important thing. They say “we want to support you, any way we can”. And that encourages me and other staff to be open about these things.
