Inspirational blogger and photographer Moeed has Crohn's Disease.
Moeed was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2010. In December 2015, he had surgery to form an ileostomy, and started making videos documenting his experience.
I went through a whirlwind of emotion and advice and it was pretty overwhelming - I felt like I was drowning in the situation. It's always a good thing to speak about how you feel, so I sat down in front of the camera. It was a way of getting myself out of that sinking mentality.
He spoke about his feelings, his expectations, and his reactions and recovery after surgery. He also became a Media Volunteer for Crohn's & Colitis UK.
I put my story on youtube and people from all over the world contacted me saying thank you, and telling me that it's eased their fears seeing my experience and recovery online.
Moeed also talks about his life after surgery, adapting to having a stoma, getting back into sport and getting on with day to day life.
I always take the time to respond to people's comments, and we have some cool conversations. I think it's really healthy to be able to talk to people about life with Crohn's and Colitis.
Over the last few years, Moeed has done a fantastic job raising awareness and building an online community. He has also been part of some live Q&A's on our facebook page.
