Since its creation as a patient's association in 1979, Crohn's & Colitis UK has grown in size and influence, providing support, campaigning and influencing, and driving research. And because people affected by Crohn's and Colitis are at the heart of everything we do, they are heart of our governance structures.
Here's our guide to our Board of Trustees and Committee structures. If you wish to contact any of the Trustees, email edith.agyemang@crohnsandcolitis.org.uk or call 01727 617348.
Our Board of Trustees is responsible at a governance level for the general control and management of the administration of the Charity. They provide us with leadership and provide strategic direction to achieve our vision. Our Trustees have a wide range of valuable experiences and skills, and many of them have a personal connection to Crohn's and Colitis. They are all volunteers.
Our Articles of Association set our the framework for how the Board will operate and our governance generally.
The Board has a number of committees to help with its work.
