IBD BioResource

Have you thought about using the IBD BioResource to support your study?

The IBD BioResource has recruited over 43,000 patients across the UK with Crohn’s or Colitis. Detailed clinical data (including treatment response, surgery, Montreal classification, extra-intestinal manifestations etc) are stored together with detailed genetic data on each participant.

Researchers in the UK can request access to the samples and data held in the IBD Bioresource. Studies may involve:

  • access to data only (e.g., genetic or clinical information)
  • access to data and samples (e.g., medication history and stored DNA)
  • recall studies (e.g., request of new samples, completing questionnaires or taking part in clinical trials)

IBD-EII

IBD-EII is a platform is intended to help share evidence-based data regarding inflammatory bowel disease in a summarized way. Here, you can find summaries of relevant trials and studies that have been published about IBD.

  • We provide training for patient and public involvement (PPI) representatives taking part in research
  • We also have dedicated Research Champions who volunteer their time and share their experiences in our partnerships with researchers across the UK. If you would like a research champion to be part of your research project, please get in touch via email.
