Over the last 40 years, Crohn's & Colitis UK has gone from strength to strength - starting off as a grassroots support network in 1979 by Robert and Patricia Annetts, after their daughter Deborah was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. The charity has continued to grow and evolve into the respected UK wide charity that we are today.

From the outset, we've been dedicated to giving a voice to everyone affected by the conditions – and have been able to provide support, education, research funding and a powerful voice for everyone whose life is affected by Crohn's and Colitis.

The timeline below outlines some of the key achievements and milestones seen by the charity from our early beginnings to the present day.
