Crohn’s & Colitis are often viewed as ‘invisible illnesses’ as although someone may appear ‘okay’ on the outside, they may be in a daily battle with a serious medical condition. Our poster maker is a great way to help friends and family to understand a little more about what it is like to live with these conditions.
Supporters up and down the country have shared their posters, including TV presenter and Crohn's and Colitis UK Ambassador, Carrie Grant. Carrie has been a member of our charity for nearly 20 years after being diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 1983.
Other poster makers include fundraiser Lee Regis and our Commmunity Champion Sam Cleasby.

I feel it's important to raise awareness of the invisible nature because without a voice the disease will win. So many people are out there suffering in silence because they are scared of the unknown. The more we know about the effects of the invisible nature to this disease the better chance we have to stand up and take the disease on head on. I think Crohn’s and Colitis UK have really hit the nail on the head with this poster making campaign. It's quick, easy and gives everyone that voice to speak up and not be afraid

Crohn’s and Colitis UK have always been a wonderful support system and an inspiration and the Crohns, Colitis & Me posters are a wonderful way to get people to speak out about their illness and symptoms in an easy to understand way that they can share with family and friends. I felt so much better once I had opened up to those around me about what my illness was and how it affected me, once I spoke out, it took the power away from my illness and gave it back to me. I hope these posters will give that opportunity to others.
