In the Charity’s 40th year, the evening was an opportunity to thank corporate partners and valued service delivery partners that have supported Crohn’s & Colitis UK and to build relationships with new partners for the future.

The evening was hosted by Sue Cherrie(pictured above, centre), Chair of Crohn’s & Colitis UK, and guests heard from new Chief Executive (pictured above right), Sarah Sleet, who shared her thoughts on how the Charity is providing the greatest impact for people with Crohn’s and Colitis through delivery of the strategic plan; with exciting developments in research, campaigns and health service development.

Baroness Young (pictured above, left) spoke about the importance of the patient voice in pushing for change in the NHS, the role of the IBD nurse specialist and how vital the information and resources provided by Crohn’s & Colitis UK are for people living with the conditions. The audience also heard from Rhiannon Jenkins, who was diagnosed with Colitis, aged 17. Rhiannon spoke about the impact living with the condition has had on her experiences at college and university, and the role the Charity has played in supporting her:
