Service users' intention towards using mobile health apps in hospitals

Researchers at the University of West London are looking for adults diagnosed with a chronic condition to take part in a short online survey about using health apps to manage their conditions in hospital.

Mobile health apps are increasingly used for managing health and well-being, improving patient knowledge, empowering patients for self-advocacy, and facilitating recovery and self-management of conditions for some patients. This study by researchers at the University of West London is looking to explore how people use mobile health apps to manage their condition whilst in hospital.

The objectives of this study are:

  • Understand factors that can prevent some people from using mobile health apps.
  • Explore user experiences of using health apps in hospitals.

This study is looking for adults with at least one chronic condition to complete a 10 minute online survey.
