Development of a sexual function patient reported outcome measure (sex-PROM) - Phase 2

The research team at St Mark's hospital is developing a sexual function questionnaire to help people who have undergone non-cancer colorectal surgery. This may include fistula surgery, stoma formation, proctectomy or pouch formation. They need input from people with lived experience to ensure that the questionnaire is both relevant and easy to understand.

This study by researchers at St Mark's Hospital is looking to create a questionnaire that will be used to measure sexual function in patients undergoing non-cancer colorectal surgery. This will be used as a future tool to counsel patients before surgery.

Following successful complete of Phase 1 of the study, researchers are now recruiting for Phase 2.

This phase is asking people aged 18 or older to take part in a brief interview online. During the interview, you will be asked to fill out the draft questionnaire and provide feedback on the layout, wording and response options to ensure they are relevant and easy to understand. This interview will take approximately 30 minutes. Input from people with lived experience is important to ensure the questionnaire effectively supports patients after surgery.
