IBD, School, and Me

Researchers at Liverpool John Moores University are recruiting to a study looking to learn more about the impact IBD has on school life for children and young people.

Researchers at Liverpool John Moores University are recruiting participants between the ages of 5-16 years to a study looking to learn more about the impact IBD has on their school life. This project is important because little is currently understood about everyday school lives of children and young people with IBD, and the challenges they may face.

To take part your child must be:

  • aged 5-16 years with a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of Crohn's or Colitis.
  • attend school in the UK, or have previously attended school in the UK in the last two years.

If you decide to take part your child will be asked to answer questions via an online interview with the researcher, to complete a diary and a storybook. You have the option to change your mind at any point.

If you and your child are interested in being part of this research study and would like more information please email the researcher directly:

Dr Catherine Wilkinson C.wilkinson@ljmu.ac.uk

This research study is NOT organised by Crohn's & Colitis UK and, therefore, we cannot take responsibility for your involvement in the research.
