Exploring experiences of becoming and being mothers

Researchers at the University of Leeds are looking to recruit mothers over the age of 18 who have given birth in the last 5 years. The study is looking at how best to support mothers with disabilities and conditions which affect their daily lives.

This research at the University of Leeds is looking to understand what is important to mothers with conditions which affect their daily activities and what support works well.

To be eligible you need to be over 18 and have given birth in the last 5 years. You will be asked to create a "Motherhood Journey Box" and attend 2 interviews which can be in-person or online. In the interviews researchers will ask you about the contents chosen for the box and about your experiences of becoming pregnant and adjusting to motherhood.

The aim of this research is to find out what support works well and what could be improved.
