E-IBD: Exploring the experience of virtual healthcare in IBD

Researchers at Bournemouth University are exploring the experience of using e-health tools for virtual follow-up or self-management amongst people with IBD and the Health Care Professionals who support them.

Many care reviews and appointments for people with IBD that would have been face-to-face are now being carried out remotely. Health Care Professionals are using e-health tools to monitor and deliver care. There is also evidence that people would like a mixture of face-to-face and virtual contact with their clinical teams.

This exciting new study is looking at how people with IBD and their supporting healthcare team describe their experience of using e-health tools to support their IBD care, and what their views are on the future development of these tools.

Researchers are looking for adults with IBD and experience of using e-health tools in their IBD care to complete a short questionnaire.

To part take you need:

  • To be aged 18 years and over
  • Have a diagnosis of IBD
  • Have experience of using e-health tools

IBD Health Care Professionals with experience of using e-health tools in the management of their patients are also eligible to take part.
