Benefits of Montmorency tart cherry juice supplement in adults with Colitis

Researchers at the University of Hertfordshire and the University of Central Lancashire are looking for 40 adults with Ulcerative Colitis to take part in a study looking into the effects of Tart Cherry Supplementation on symptoms and gut health. They are undertaking this work at both institutions.

This study is being undertaken to help our understanding of a new potential non-pharmaceutical treatment for Ulcerative Colitis.

To be eligible, you should be aged between 18 and 65 years old and have an established diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis for at least 6 months. Your disease activity must be mild to moderate and you must have been on the same standard medication for the last 3 months. You cannot have any other auto-immune disease, diabetes or food allergies to cherries.
