Online discussion - Perianal Crohn's Disease: the definition of a healed fistula via MRI

Researchers at St Mark's the National Bowel Hospital are looking for adults with perianal Crohn's Disease who either have an active perianal (around the bottom) fistula or have had a perianal fistula in the past to take part in an online discussion. 

This study by researchers at St Mark's the National Bowel Hospital is looking to develop an international definition of a radiologically healed fistula in perianal Crohn’s disease. 

If you are an adult (18+) who is diagnosed with perianal Crohn's Disease with either an active perianal (around the bottom) fistula or experience of a fistula in the past they want to hear your opinion.

This Shaping Research opportunity is participation in one online group discussion, where you will be asked to share your experiences so that researchers can gather lived experience perspectives on MRI scans used to monitor perianal Crohn's disease. It is an exciting opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of how perianal Crohn's Disease is treated.  

During the session you will be able to:

  • Ask questions of experts,
  • Highlight your experiences of perianal fistulas,
  • Share your views and experiences on MRI scans and how this impacts you; such as timings and frequency of scans, and understanding the reports you are given.

 

This Shaping Research opportunity is one online discussion to be held Tuesday 27th August 2024 at 6 - 7:30pm via Microsoft Teams.
