Lymphoma in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Researchers at Newcastle University are looking at the relationship between lymphoma and IBD. They are looking for people living with IBD to take part in online focus groups to help them develop the study.

Researches at Newcastle University are looking to develop a study to learn more about lymphoma and IBD.

Lymphoma is a form of blood cancer. The majority of people with IBD will never develop lymphoma.  The researchers think it is important to understand which individuals are most at risk of lymphoma, and why. This will help patients and their medical teams choose the best treatment options.

So they can learn more and develop their study in line with patient priorities, the researchers would like to hold focus groups with people living with IBD. This includes both people who have been diagnosed with lymphoma and those who have not. The researchers want input from people with lived experience to understand how best to design the study. In particular, the relevance of their research questions to lived experience and how best to share the findings of this research.

To take part you must be:

  • over 16
  • diagnosed with IBD
  • comfortable sharing your feedback in a group setting

You will be asked to attend a focus group either 12th June at 3pm or 17th June at 6:30pm.

As a thank you for attending a focus group you will be offered a £25 high street voucher.

If you are interested in taking part, or would like more information about the study, please complete the form below. By entering your details, you are not committing to take part, but you will be forwarded to the study webpage for more information. You will have the opportunity to change your mind at any time.

This research study is NOT organised by Crohn's & Colitis UK and, therefore, we cannot take responsibility for your involvement in the research.
