Local Networks

Local Networks are teams of volunteers that raise awareness in their communities by hosting educational, information, social and fundraising events.

Our 50 Local Networks are teams of volunteers that operate across the UK bringing local people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis together and raising awareness of the conditions with members of the public. From educational talks to social events, we help give people the comfort and confidence to live freer and fuller lives. And together, we can make our voice heard

They want to reach more people affected by Crohn's and Colitis as well as help the general public to better understand the conditions.

Want to volunteer with us?

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, develop new skills and make a difference to everyone affected by Crohn's and Colitis.

Our Local Networks are a great way to get involved in your community. There are 50 of these volunteer teams based across the UK that raise awareness, host social and educational events, and fundraise.

Each network has four main volunteer roles: Lead Volunteer, Finance Volunteer, Awareness Volunteers and Medical Advisors, as well as Local Network Event Volunteers who support events on a Ad Hoc basis.

Volunteering is very flexible, and whatever interests, experience or skills you have, there are many ways to give your time. Typically teams would meet 6 times a year to plan activities and individuals might spend 2-4 hours per week volunteering.
