Updated information sheet: Diarrhoea & Constipation

Crohn's and Colitis UK's Publications Team have just updated one of our information sheets:

Diarrhoea and Constipation (PDF) - Edition 4, June 2015

Many people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease will have had problems with diarrhoea or constipation at some time. This information sheet looks at what could be causing those symptoms, and the ways you may be able to reduce and manage them.

It also looks at conditions associated with diarrhoea or constipation and the possible treatments for them.

The 'Diarrhoea and Constipation' information sheet (Edition 4) replaces the previous Edition 3 of 'Managing Diarrhoea'.

We have more than 35 publications focusing on many aspects of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, from Understanding Crohn's and Colitis, medication information to benefits guides.

All our booklets and information sheets are written and produced with the help of medical advisers, nurses, other specialists and people with IBD. We are a certified member of the Information Standard scheme.

Our accreditation means that we have passed a rigorous assessment to ensure that our information is:

  • Clear
  • Accurate
  • Balanced
  • Evidence-based
  • Up-to-date
