The Helmsley Charitable Trust aims to find a cure for Crohn’s Disease, and in the meantime, improve disease management. This aligns closely with Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s strategic objectives, and we are proud to be working with such a prestigious, philanthropic organisation.
The first grant has been awarded to support our multi-channel Helpline services. Often referred to as a lifeline, our Helpline is accessible by phone, email or Live Chat, and we are committed to its long-term continuation. The wonderful support from The Helmsley Charitable Trust towards this essential service will enable us to continue to respond to thousands of enquiries from people living with and affected by Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis.
We are delighted to receive this very generous grant. Our service feedback highlights just how much our community needs and values the helpline in supporting them to live well with Crohn’s or Colitis.
April Trawicki, Support Services Manager
The second grant will uniquely help us to develop and deliver a new Targeted Call for Research in Crohn’s Disease with the aim of achieving early patient benefits. The project will fund several research projects and we will ensure people living with Crohn’s Disease are at the heart of the research.
We deeply appreciate this grant from the Helmsley Charitable Trust. Research plays a crucial role in improving the treatment and management of Crohn’s disease and we hope that by funding projects focused on early benefit, we can help to drive a positive change for people living with Crohn’s Disease.
Julia Ambler, Research and Quality Improvement Manager
