Your Will could do wonders

Did you know your Will could do wonders?

98% of our funding - whether that’s for more research, more support or more awareness - comes from our supporters. But did you know, that a large part of this essential funding comes from people who have chosen to remember Crohn's & Colitis UK in their Will?

We're incredibly grateful to our supporters and members who want to make it better for those living with Crohn's and Colitis in the future. By including a gift in your Will to Crohn’s & Colitis UK, you can join them in helping to make our vision of a world free from Crohn’s and Colitis possible.

Now, that sounds pretty wonderful.

But writing or updating your Will can sometimes feel like a daunting (and expensive) task. That's why, this month, we've partnered with expert estate planners, Octopus Legacy, to provide you with their easy to use service, so you can write or update your Will for free*. Creating a simple Will would usually cost around £150-£300 with other providers - and can cost as much as £1000 for something more complicated. But this Spring, the cost of your Will is covered by us.

* Applies to basic Wills only. Discounts are applicable for any more complex or bespoke Wills.

What will your legacy be?

While many members and supporters choose to include a gift in their Will to Crohn's & Colitis UK when using this service, there’s no obligation to do so.

Not only will writing or updating your Will make life easier for the people you leave behind, but including a gift in your Will could help us to continue to improve diagnosis and treatment; fund research into a cure; raise awareness and give each person affected by Crohn's and Colitis hope for a freer, fuller life.

Thank you for considering doing something wonderful with your Will.

Here’s what some of our members and supporters have said about their reasons for including a gift in their Will:

It was during the first few months in hospital that I heard about Crohn’s & Colitis UK. I became a member and received lots of useful guidance for me and my family. “When my husband Mark and I decided to make our Will, it was an easy decision for me to pick Crohn’s & Colitis UK.

Joanne Goodfellow and her husband Mark have left a gift in their Will to Crohn’s & Colitis UK.

Crohn’s & Colitis UK provides that sense of belonging, that vital connection to people who experience what you’re experiencing. “That’s why I’ve included them in my Will. Because if everybody does a little, nobody has to do a lot.
