Our commitment to anti-racism

Our anti-racism vision is to make sure no one with Crohn's or Colitis is left behind.

How people are diagnosed and treated, how people live with their condition, and how they access care and opportunities for employment and education are all influenced by society.

This means health experiences and outcomes are not equal for everyone, and some communities are at a significant disadvantage. Health inequalities, systemic racism, and unequal access to diagnosis, treatment, and support fails the community we serve.

We are committed to making meaningful and sustainable change and to demonstrating our dedication to, and progress in, becoming a truly anti-racist organisation.

We stand up for a world where everyone impacted by Crohn's and Colitis is supported to live freer, fuller lives.

We believe that health inequalities and systemic racism create unequal access to diagnosis, treatment and support, and we're committed to changing that.

We must break down barriers to ensure that everyone is included because, after all, there are more things we have in common than not.

We’re here for everyone affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

When people are represented in our work, and their experiences are reflected, they feel included and reassured that our support, information, advocacy, and resources are for them.
