Andrew Adie

Andrew Adie, Director of Finance and Corporate Services

Andrew is a chartered accountant with responsibility for the Finance and Corporate Services at the charity 

He joined the charity in January 2018. and it is his first role in the 'not for profit' sector having previously worked in the sports and leisure industry. He is dedicated to making a difference to people’s lives. 

 


Sarah Sleet

Sarah Sleet, Chief Executive Officer

Sarah Sleet was appointed as CEO of Crohn's & Colitis UK in March 2019.

Sarah is an experienced Chief Executive who has worked with a broad range of health and patient groups including European patient organisations, government advisory and research bodies, and healthcare professional bodies. She has also built expertise in education, social and economic policy, scientific research, income generation and campaigning.


Ruth Wakeman

Ruth Wakeman, Director of Services, Advocacy and Evidence

Ruth joined the charity in October 2019. 

Ruth has been working in healthcare for over thirty years and began  her career as a pharmacist.  Ruth has worked for a range of not for profit healthcare organisations including the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the Nursing and Midwifery Council leading teams delivering health information, standards, policy and support for research.


Claire Walsh

Claire Walsh, Director of Income Generation and Marketing

The Income Generation & Marketing team’s remit is to enable supporters and members of the Crohn’s and Colitis community to support the organisation’s work through becoming a member, participating in events and activities, and making donations. We also seek funding from Corporate partners and Trusts and Foundations to support the charity’s vital support services and ground-breaking research. And we manage our marketing and communications, including our digital channels and engagement.

Claire has worked in fundraising in the non-profit sector for 19 years in the UK, Singapore and Hong Kong. She has primarily worked within healthcare charities, with a career including roles at Macmillan Cancer Support, Alzheimer’s Society, Prostate Cancer UK and Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Claire enjoys working to shine a spotlight on often misunderstood or less publicly recognised conditions. She is passionate about working with people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis and using fundraising to raise awareness of the conditions, amplify the public conversation, and raise funds to expand the charities vital services.
