Do you know an inspirational young fundraiser?

Does this sound like you? Our Alex Demain young fundraiser of the year awards is now open!

We are very excited to announce that the nominations for our ninth Alex Demain Young Fundraiser of the Year Awards are now open!

The awards first began in 2016 in memory of our exceptional colleague and dear friend, Alex Demain, who sadly passed away in 2015.

Alex played a monumental part in our fundraising team and was always the first person to celebrate the stories of our supporters. He was passionate about supporters who overcame challenges to raise money and awareness for the charity.

Honouring our young fundraisers with the awards lets us shine a light on the wonderful ways they strive to fundraise and raise awareness for Crohn’s & Colitis UK. With their incredible support, we can continue our vital work supporting those affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

The awards honour the achievements of our remarkable supporters who distinctly meet our values of Ambitious, Compassionate, and Stronger Together whilst also remembering a great friend.

Does this sound like you? Our Alex Demain young fundraiser of the year awards is now open!

We are so proud that Alex’s legacy lives on with this fundraising award. Alex had a real passion for fundraising and had such a charismatic personality. It is fantastic that these amazing young fundraisers have worked so hard and raised money for this amazing cause.

We are now accepting nominations for 2024’s Alex Demain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award

The awards are open to any Crohn’s & Colitis UK fundraiser in the UK under the age of 30, who has raised more than £250 since October 2023.

Have you been motivated or inspired by the innovative ways a young person has fundraised for Crohn’s & Colitis UK? Maybe you’re thinking ‘this sounds like me’ or ‘this sounds like a family member, friend or colleague’. We would love to receive your nomination.

There is a secondary category, the ‘Alex Demain Lifetime Awareness Award’, to celebrate supporters who have worked tirelessly to raise awareness for Crohn’s and Colitis. All nominations will be considered for this award as well.
