Early Bowel Resection for Terminal Ileal Crohn's Disease (EBRIC)

EBRIC Sheffield NHS

Researchers at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are looking for adults from an ethnic minority group living with Crohn's to take part in interviews to understand views on treatment options for Crohn's affecting the last part of the small bowel (terminal ileum).

EBRIC Sheffield NHS

This study is looking to understand views on treatment options for Crohn's affecting the last part of the small bowel (also known as the terminal ileum). Researchers are looking to recruit patients belonging to an ethnic minority group to ensure that diverse views are represented.

Through this study, researchers would like to understand what matters most to people living with Crohn's when choosing between treatment options. In particular, they would like to understand thoughts on surgery for this type of Crohn's, and in what situations people have or would consider surgery.

If you decide to take part you will be asked questions about the different treatments you have had for your Crohn's, in an interview lasting between 30mins - 1hour. This can be via telephone or online.
