Older Women, Video Calling

The website is one of THE most helpful things, even before being officially diagnosed, I was suspected to have Ulcerative Colitis so I just devoured everything Crohn's & Colitis UK had available online and it made me feel less scared. I am now a member and I feel welcomed and part of something massive - I am definitely not alone!

My Crohn's got the better of me whilst still having circa 20 minutes left on my bus journey. Rather than risk an accident I decided to get off the bus early and try and use the Tesco Express Toilets. They had no customer toilet, but on asking and production of the Can't Wait Card I was immediately (and politely) shown to the staff toilets, no qualms. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have been a member for more than 30 years; the help, support and all the info received is worth every penny. There are no other organisations for Inflammatory Bowel Disease that offer such a brilliant service for such a low cost.

Thank you so much for my memberships pack, received today!

This puts me at slight ease when facing the outside world.

Fabulous supportive details in the pack and the key is a god send, meaning I'm less anxious if I'm having a bad day and not near home.

On a recent visit to Edinburgh I needed an urgent trip to the toilet, so popped into Costa Coffee but the toilets were locked. I showed my Can’t Wait card to a charming young gentleman who unlocked the door for myself to use. This was the first time I have used the card so thanks to Costa, the young man and Crohn’s & Colitis UK for the card. £15 well spent.

I became a member to join a community that has people of a similar age to me, who were going through the same or a similar experience that I was and continue to go through. The support received is just unbelievable!

When I was diagnosed I had no idea what Crohn's Disease was, thanks to all the information that Crohn's & Colitis UK provided it helped me to accept my condition. I've also gained life-long friends and support through the volunteering network.

The Connect magazine is fantastic. I love the focus on individual stories and the positive tone. The features are really interesting, well-written and it makes me feel really proud to be a Crohn's & Colitis UK member.

My 16 year old daughter [pictured] joined after being diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis only three weeks ago. I can't tell you how excited she was to receive this membership pack in the post last week! You'd have thought she had won the lottery! I wish there had been more support when I was diagnosed 25+ years ago. It's brilliant. They organise social events to bring sufferers together. We went to our first one last Saturday which was very helpful

Helen, mother of Emily, diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2018

I am really proud to be a member of Crohn’s & Colitis UK and support the incredible work they do.

From funding research, to member benefits including the Radar key and Can’t Wait Card - this charity are my go to for IBD information on medications.

Thank you for everything you do.

James, diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis
