Developing a questionnaire to assess if young people with IBD are at risk of anxiety or depression

Researchers at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation and the University of Sheffield are looking for people to take part in a new study.

Currently the issue of mental health in IBD is insufficiently addressed, with a need for a quick and easy way of identifying individuals who need further in-depth psychological assessment. The study will assess whether we can identify young people (aged 16-24 years) with IBD who are at an increased risk of developing anxiety and/or depression through the use of a recently developed IBD-specific risk assessment index.

Participants are required to complete the risk asssessment index as well as three existing short questionnaires. The study should take between 15-20 minutes to complete, with all responses anonymised and strictly confidential.

If you would like to receive more information about the study, please contact Rupert Lees via email.
