The role
Salary: £31,500 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Full-Time (35 hrs per week)
Place of work: Remote/Hybrid/Flexible, with a requirement to attend the office in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, approximately twice a month and 4 times a year for our mandatory All Staff Together days in the office.

As we seek to scale and take our owned mass participation events to the next level, we are excited to be inviting applications for a new Events Fundraising Officer to join our growing Community & Events fundraising team.
Do you have experience and a passion for developing unique and engaging events, designed to provide a platform for people to raise vital funds and awareness for a cause that is close to their hearts? Do you enjoy finding new and unique ways to attract participants, reaching those hard-to-reach people through creativity and innovation? You would be joining a passionate, bold, talented team, harnessing your skills of designing and delivering exceptional, engaging events (whether virtually or in-person).
About you
Our role is suited to someone who:
- Has a proven new business track-record developing partnerships with commercial and corporate organisations across multiple sectors, ideally operating at five and six figures
- Experience of managing corporate fundraising partnerships, ideally from within the charity sector
- Demonstrable knowledge of the commercial sector and how to access decision makers
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and a good networker
- Confident in presenting and pitching presentations to a variety of stakeholders
- Both empathetic and resilient, with an open, honest, and flexible approach to work
- Enjoys a challenge, is self-motivated and is open to new ideas
- Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- Good numeracy skills and ability to analyse and report on financial performance
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Is a strategic thinker, and a team player.
- Is a fantastic communicator, able to build and maintain effective relationships with our stakeholders.
- Has experience of working with databases

Our location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. But one thing we have learned from the pandemic, is that we are able to work very effectively from home. In this role, there is plenty of scope for doing that, although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings and the charity meets four times a year in the office at our mandatory 'All Staff Together' days. It is possible therefore you could live almost anywhere in the country. If you want to be considered for the role but are worried about location, talk to us – it may work!
