Volunteers' Week 2019: Time to Celebrate!

Published 07 June 2019

Volunteers' Week is coming to a close, this year the theme was "Time to Celebrate" and we want to celebrate the difference volunteers make to our entire organisation.

Our volunteers make a huge impact for those affected by Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

We want everybody to understand Crohn's and Colitis

Our Local Network volunteers host education and awareness events throughout the country.

We want to drive world-class research into the disease

Our research panel review every grant application to ensure the highest possible standard.

We want to support and empower people to actively manage their conditions

Our helpline volunteers guide people through any challenges they may be facing and help them take the next steps.

We want high quality sustainable clinical care across the UK

Our volunteers will be key to getting our Patient Survey to the people we need.

We want early and accurate diagnosis for all

Our medical advisors and Network IBD nurses build links and promote our work throughout the NHS.

Our events throughout the year are successful because of those who give up their time to fundraise and volunteer.

With all of this going on, it's no wonder we get such great feedback!

Thank you for all the support you gave me with my application for Personal Independence Payment. You listened and guided me through the process very well.

I was very reassured by the service and found the volunteer very informative and understanding.

The information I've been given has been really helpful, so a big 'thank you' to your wonderful volunteers.

I'd like to offer our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers. Events like this simply wouldn't happen without your work and time. You Rock!
