We have been supporting people affected by Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and other forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) since 1979.
Through all our work, it is those affected by IBD who must live at the very heart of the organisation and the opportunity of strengthening their voice needs to be grasped.
In order to do this and help raise awareness, we use our members ‘voices’ to detail what it is like living with these conditions. First hand experiences and quotes about all aspects of our work are needed to make sure a true representation of our members and their daily struggles are shown.
We are always looking for people who will be willing to share their experiences to help raise awareness of Inflammatory Bowel Disease as well as Crohn’s and Colitis UK. Journalists need details about personal experience when discussing different issues; therefore we need people of all ages and backgrounds across the UK who are happy to talk about their diagnosis and what it is like to live with IBD.
If you are happy to share your stories they will often be used in a variety of ways, from being interviewed by a journalist to feature in local and national newspapers, being interviewed on radio or television through to social media and using quotes in our publications to help support and inform other’s with IBD. Case studies will only ever be asked to be involved with media outlets that you feel comfortable with and participate in articles that they are happy with.
We would love to hear about all aspects from your daily struggles, what it is like to work with these conditions, through to if you have taken part in any fundraising for the charity or you have accessed our information and support phone lines. We would love to hear from you all!
If you would like to share your story please email a completed case study questionnaire to email@example.com
