FAQs: Run The Night

What is included as part of my entry fee?

Registration is £30, and you can enter as an individual or as part of a team. You will receive a fluorescent technical top with reflective detail, glowsticks, and a free drink at our post-race bash in Studio 338. Plus, you'll receive dedicated fundraising support and be awarded our unique medal when completing your challenge.

Where can I find a route map? Are there steps on the route?

Our updated route takes runners past London landmarks such as Canary Wharf, Cutty Sark and The O2. There are nearly 400 steps to tackle through the Greenwich tunnel too, which makes this race even more of a challenge!

A detailed map of the route will be available ahead of the event. As the venue is in central London, we would recommend using public transport to travel there – detailed directions will also be included in your race pack.

How do I register more than one person? Do I have to pay for everyone who is registering?

As part of the registration form, once you have filled in your details, before paying you will have the option to ‘Add Someone Else’. This will allow you to set up as many people as you like. You don’t have to create a team to do this.

How do I set up/join a team?

When registering, you will have the option to set up or join a team if you like. If you are creating the team, you can name your team and then you will receive three options- creating a public team, creating an invite only team, or creating a password protected team. Public teams means anyone registering for the run can choose to join. There will also be the option of saying it’s a family/friends team or a workplace team.

Then when someone wants to join your team, whilst they are registering, they select “they would like to join a team”, and then they can search for the team name and enter the password if needed.

How old do you have to be to enter?

The event is for over 18s.

Is there a deadline to complete my online entries?

Entries will close a few days before the event, however for any entries after 30th September, we will send you details to collect your race pack on the day (rather than post it out in advance).

Can my friends / family come along to cheer me on?

Of course! Do encourage friends or family can come along and wave you off from Studio 338, then celebrate with you at the end. As the venue is a nightclub, it’s strictly over 18s.

What time will the run begin? Is there a time limit for completing it?

We will put you in a start wave between 5:30pm and 8pm depending on your estimated time. If you want to run with a friend, please make sure you both put the same time in. We’ll confirm your wave time in your race pack ahead of the event.

It is a timed event, but we have allowed plenty of time. The venue is open until 11pm, so you’ll have plenty of time to celebrate once you have completed the run.

What facilities are there?

The race will start and finish at Studio 338, where there will be plenty of toilets as well as a baggage drop area. We will also have some toilets at various points along the route, as well as a water station. Back at Studio 338 you can claim your free drink, and there will be a bar where you can purchase drinks at the afterparty!

Can I be a volunteer instead of taking part myself?

Yes of course! There are lots of ways to get involved on the day; the volunteer registration form has further details.

What happens if I can’t raise £250? Does everyone who registers in my team have to raise £250? Will we not be able to run if we’ve not raised this amount?

The £250 fundraising target isn’t a mandatory target, so if you don’t raise £250 you will still be able to take part. However, we do encourage people to fundraise as much as they can, and many people find that it’s easier to raise than they think. Sharing your JustGiving page on your social media is a great way to get started, and we are always happy to provide fundraising advice and materials to help you meet your target.

I’m having trouble with the registration form - can I still sign up?

Of course. You can just get in touch with the Supporter Care Team. Email fundraising@crohnsandcolitis.org.uk or call us on 01727 734485.
