We're the UK's leading charity for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. 

Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of and for which there is no known cure. Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence. But they're not alone. We're here for them. And we're not going anywhere until we've beaten Crohn's and Colitis for good.  

The role

Starting between £50,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience

This is an exciting new role at the charity to deliver our internal service teams covering functions such as IT and CRM, HR and facilities. The charity is growing in staff numbers who need to be supported with the tools and infrastructure they need to deliver their outward facing roles.  

We have invested heavily in recent years in the charity’s ICT infrastructure and CRM (Dynamics 365) and we are developing innovative automation and data reporting to optimise our business processes and insights. We are also investing in our human resources practices to ensure we have engaged staff who work in high performing teams. And we are adapting our facilities approach to accommodate increased home working and a workforce operating across the UK. 

About you

You will need a thorough understanding of critical parts of our ICT infrastructure to lead our internal team and external suppliers in delivering and innovative and responsive data service which is legally compliant. You will be happy leading multiple functions and teams with a service orientated mindset and ensuring best value from a range of third party suppliers. You will support the charity to be as efficient and effective as it can be applying your experience in improving business processes. 

The future

The charity is at a really exciting point. We are in excellent financial health and moving to a new strategy which will give you the chance to put a personal stamp on the actions we are taking to improve the quality of life for people with Crohn’s and Colitis. 

Our location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. But one thing we have learned from the pandemic, is that we are able to work very effectively from home. In this role, there is plenty of scope for doing that although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. It is possible therefore you could live almost anywhere in the country. If you want to be considered for the role but are worried about location, talk to us – it may work!
