Crohn’s & Colitis UK adhere to the principles of The Information Standard - an NHS scheme that supports the production of high quality health information. We were one of the first organisations to become certified in 2009.
This means we follow strict processes to make sure our publications are clear, accurate, impartial, evidence-based, and up-to-date - so you can be sure our information is trustworthy.
Some of the key requirements of the Standard include:
- The evidence we use is of high quality and is presented in a balanced manner
- Publications have been checked by medical, healthcare and other appropriate professionals
- People affected by Crohn's or Colitis are actively involved throughout production – through our Readers Panel
- Feedback from users after publication is recorded and acted upon as appropriate
If you would like more information about the sources of evidence we use, please email the Publications Team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
